National Leadership

Travel Update: Alex Bruda in Uganda

Alex Bruda — EGM’s National Ministry Builder — traveled to Uganda for a week in July. He went to participate in director orientation for Patience Atukunda, the new National Director for EGM-Uganda. It was a great joy for Alex to serve again alongside Emmanuel Manishimwe — EGM’s East Africa Coordinator — as they began this exciting orientation for a dynamic, passionate leader in local children’s ministry.

EGM values national leadership

EGM is committed to developing national ministry teams that are led by local Christian leaders. We believe Christian leaders from within the local community are best suited to develop ministry that will equip churches for effective (and culturally-relevant) ministry to children and families in their congregations.

Our commitment to support national leadership flows from our understanding of incarnational ministry (Colossians 1:15-29) and effective stewardship of the resources entrusted to us (Matthew 25). There are mature Christian leaders whom God has called to minister to children within many cultures. We believe that working with these men and women maximizes the impact of EGM’s mission.

Welcoming a new National Director

Patience is a very passionate leader. She has great experience and enthusiasm for children’s ministry. Please pray with us that God’s hand of blessing will be upon her as she is leading the EGM-Uganda ministry into a new season of growth.
