Travel Update: Krysten Norkaitis in Washington
“The childrens ministry training was like an oasis in the middle of the desert for the churches in the State of Washington. Most especially for the Hispanic churches. It was a great idea to gather a couple of churches to participate in the training. I can’t wait to go back to my church and apply everything we learned. I am the children’s ministry director and the pastor’s wife. All I can tell you is that we are so blessed to know about EGM!” Consuelo Castillo, Iglesia Puertas Abiertas de la ACM, Renton, Washington
Equipping children’s ministry leaders in the Pacific Northwest
Children’s leaders here and abroad are hungry to learn how to teach the Bible to children in creative, engaging, and relevant ways. I recently had the opportunity to share EGM’s vision and introduce our biblical discipleship model to 26 Hispanic leaders from 6 different churches in Washington.
Over the years, I have had the chance to encourage and help equip children’s leaders all around the world. I want you to know that this group was especially open and engaged! One of the reasons why is because most Hispanic churches in their area do not have access to children’s ministry training and materials in Spanish.

These leaders loved learning how to create questions that will challenge children to connect God’s word to their lives. We learned how to use everyday items to creatively teach a Bible story to children. I was impressed by their creativity and by how much they enjoyed teaching the stories!
Effective childrens ministry training gives children a chance to respond to God
EGM is passionate about equipping children’s leaders to teach the Bible ways kids can understand and apply to their lives. Whether it is in the US or overseas, we love coming alongside them, equipping them and reminding them of the privilege it is to teach God’s Word to children!
