Welcome to Our New Website!

We’re thrilled to announce the launch of our completely redesigned website! After months of planning, designing, and building, we’re excited to share this new digital home with you. A Fresh Look for a Growing Mission Over the past 30 years, Every Generation Ministries has grown from a single vision in Poland to a global network spanning 18 countries. Our website needed to reflect that growth—and more importantly, make it easier for you to connect with what God is doing through trained leaders around the world. The new site features a cleaner design, easier navigation, and a more compelling way to…

Bible Curriculum Around the World

One of the ways EGM works to help churches fulfill the Great Commission through ministry to children is by equipping leaders to develop Bible curriculum. At Every Generation Ministries, we believe the Bible is the inerrant Word of God. It is what children need. God uses His Word to transform children in Christ. On a practical level, I know firsthand how tough it is to teach the Bible to kids in a way that makes sense to them. And I’m not alone in this struggle. Right now, somewhere in the world, there is a children’s ministry leader sitting down, pencil…

Podcast: Praying with them

As we disciple children, as we model our Savior, as we try to live out the life that he would have lived, as we model Christ and help them become more like Christ, praying has to be a big part of that. In this episode of “Better Children’s Ministry,” Tara Thomas and David Jesse share about the honor and responsibility of leading children into the presence of the Lord. Highlights 2:00 – A children’s prayer conference in Egypt 5:20 – When prayer time gets real 6:45 – Kids have real problems just like us 8:03 – As disciplers, we must…

Podcast: Preparing our Hearts to Serve

Have you ever been personally transformed by the Bible lesson you prepared for KidMin? Spending time with God’s Word before presenting it to children is an important aspect of biblical leadership. In this episode, David is joined by Tara Thomas, EGM’s Mobilization Coordinator and a former Children’s Ministry Director. Tara shares about the challenges we face trying to prepare our hearts before Sunday morning and the importance of weighing the “urgent” against the “important.” Highlights 4:34 – Spiritual transformation in the life of a child starts with spiritual transformation in our own lives 5:16 – Weighing the urgent against the…

Podcast: So What?

If we only do one thing in children’s ministry, it must be helping boys and girls connect God’s Word to their real life. Even if we have a super creative Bible lesson, a fun craft and the best snack prepared, we haven’t done our jobs if the children leave church unsure about real-life Bible application. We want to help them answer the question, “So What?” This episode of “Better Children’s Ministry” is about how to do that. Highlights 2:00 – What is the “So What” issue? 5:40 – “So What?” is not just a struggle in the KidMin world 8:42…

Podcast: Ministering to Misbehavers

Is there a kid in your church who might be more — challenging — to love? When you see them coming, do you cringe inwardly? We’ve all been there. Reflecting the love of God to boys and girls is a special calling, and it is not always an easy one. In this episode of “Better Children’s Ministry,” David and Daniel discuss the way we address a child’s misbehavior when spiritual transformation is our goal. Highlights: 2:00 – The sister of Attila the Hun 7:35 – We can be hopeful that God will use and transform troubled children 9:50 – Misbehavior…

Podcast: The Buzz

There is often a temptation in ministry to judge our success by big numbers and big programming that creates a lot of “buzz” around activities. God uses high quality events and programs to do amazing things. But the goal in ministry isn’t programming; it’s life transformation. In this episode of “Better Children’s Ministry,” Daniel reminisces about his time as a Children’s Pastor, the best KidMin buzz he ever generated and how to refocus our ministry on the real lives of boys and girls. Highlights: 1:50 – What’s “the buzz?” 4:20 – The KidMin “machine” 7:50 – Going Mach-8 with your…

Podcast: The Dreaded Saturday Night Text

Yep, you know the one. “Listen, I am SO SORRY but I won’t be able to make it tomorrow…” Why is it so difficult to find volunteers who want to serve in children’s ministry? In this episode of “Better Children’s Ministry,” Daniel Watts, EGM’s President, talks to David about casting vision for KidMin and helping others realize their calling to serve boys and girls. Highlights: 1:45 – Daniel Watts introduces himself 4:10 – Children’s ministry in a bathroom, under some trees and peeking through windows 5:08 – The Caspers 6:50 – Why do KidMin volunteers back out of their commitment…

Jesus Loves Me, This I Know

As EGM’s fiscal year comes to a close this June, we are celebrating the powerful truth that boys and girls around the world can know and experience “Jesus Loves Me.” Will you join us in thanking God for the work he has done through churches and children’s ministry leaders in 14 countries this past year? Will you prayerfully consider supporting EGM with a one-time gift?   The Message is Simple… Walk into almost any Sunday School class of two-year-old children, and you’re likely to hear small, sweet voices singing the words, “Yes! Jesus loves me! The Bible tells me so.”…

Launching Ministry in Jordan and Lebanon

Early in the biblical story of Genesis, we see external factors affecting the people of God. These factors created whole new twists and turns in God’s dealing with people. Turmoil specifically envelopes the family of Jacob, ending with the brothers selling Joseph off into Egypt. Shortly thereafter, drought and famine descend on the region. Joseph is brought to power in Egypt and the people of God relocate there under Joseph’s care and protection. God works through the events of this world, often in dramatic fashion. Serving Children in the Middle East We see this today in the Middle East. The…

Why Go On Short-Term Ministry Trips?

Every Generation Ministries supports ministry to children in 14 countries. Part of that support includes sending teams from the United States overseas to connect with what’s already being done through the local church in those areas. Short-term ministry trips connect God’s people, and provide unique opportunities to serve the body of Christ. These opportunities help inform the way we pray for churches overseas and the way we see ourselves as part of the larger global Church. They inform the way we praise God for the gifted leaders around the world who are accomplishing His kingdom work. Upcoming Short-Term Ministry Trips…
