How We Serve

By equipping local church leaders to disciple children within the framework of their own culture and traditions, EGM aims to establish sustainable, multi-generational Gospel transformation.

⁴Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. ⁵Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. ⁶These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. ⁷Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. ⁸Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. ⁹Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.

Transformational Goal

v. 5: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give to you today are to be upon your hearts. A Transformational Goal is the clear, prayerful focus of a lesson that guides children toward life change in Christ, not just learning information. It helps every part of the lesson work together so children experience God’s Word, understand its truth, talk about how it connects to real life, and take a practical step of response. With one clear goal, leaders can teach with greater purpose and help children grow as lifelong disciples of Jesus.

Relationship

v. 5-6: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give to you today are to be upon your hearts. Relationship is the foundation of transformational discipleship. Through consistent, loving, respectful, and safe relationships, DiscipleMakers help children feel seen, known, and welcomed. These relationships create the environment where children can encounter God’s Word, respond honestly, and grow as disciples of Jesus.

Experiential Activity

v. 7: … when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. An Experiential Activity prepares children’s hearts and minds to receive God’s Word. Through a meaningful, interactive experience, children begin to feel or recognize something connected to the lesson’s Transformational Goal. This helps them enter the Bible teaching with curiosity, openness, and personal connection.

Truth

v. 7: Impress [these commandments] on your children. Truth is the part of the lesson where children encounter God’s Word as the primary source of teaching. DiscipleMakers help children discover what Scripture says and understand how it connects to the Transformational Goal. When God’s Word is taught clearly, creatively, and faithfully, children are invited to know Him more deeply and follow Him in everyday life.

Discussion

v. 7: Talk about them… Discussion helps children connect God’s Word to their real lives. Through meaningful questions and honest conversation, children reflect on what they heard, what it means, and how God may be inviting them to respond. This gives children space to process truth personally and grow together as disciples.

Response

v.8: Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the door frames of your home and on your gates. Response gives children a practical opportunity to live out God’s truth. DiscipleMakers invite children to take a first step during the lesson and a next step during the week, often with encouragement from their family or church community. This helps the lesson move beyond understanding into faithful action and ongoing transformation.

God's Word

The Bible is central to EGM's mission, providing both the framework and substance of our discipleship training. God's word is shaping not only what we teach but how we live, lead, and grow together in Christ.

God's Church

As the primary partner of EGM, the local Church serves as the object of and driving force behind our mission. Rooted in the Great Commission's call to make disciples, EGM comes alongside local churches to help them fulfill this charge.

God's Vision

Pursuing the fruitfulness of the Word of God that is present throughout Scripture, EGM seeks to expand the knowledge of the Truth through its missions around the world, helping people experience the transformational love of Christ.
