Ministry Spotlight: Chile

In Chile, God is strengthening the ministry in beautiful and practical ways. EGM-Chile is investing in their own team development by equipping new board members, coordinators, facilitators, and special needs leaders. These growing teams will help support regional coordinators and provide clearer direction for the ministry’s continued growth.  At the same time, EGM-Chile is developing a new year-long training pathway for churches. Through seven focused lessons and training sessions, churches will be invited to grow more intentionally in children’s discipleship. Ministry Spotlight: Syria

Sometimes the light of Christ is seen most clearly in small, faithful moments of care.  This summer, EGM-Syria has helped support churches across the country as they host VBS programs for children. Rooted in the theme “Salt and Light,” children are learning what it means to follow Jesus and reflect His love in their communities.  After only one year of ministry in Syria, 102 leaders have been equipped through DiscipleMakers training. Ministry Spotlight: DRC

There are places where ministry continues even when the circumstances are heavy.  In the DRC, war, displacement, disease, and instability continue to create uncertainty for many families and communities. Churches in Eastern DRC are serving in a region where peace feels fragile, where new challenges continue to rise, and where daily life is often marked by hardship.  And yet, God is still at work.  Through EGM-DRC, church leaders are being equipped, parents are being encouraged, and children are hearing about the hope found in Jesus. Celebrating International Children’s Day

Throughout the month of June, countries around the world celebrate children in many different ways. In many of the places where EGM serves, churches and ministry leaders are using this season to encourage, celebrate, and invest in the children God has entrusted to them. Some are hosting special events. Others are planning outreach activities, camps, or community gatherings. In each place, we are encouraged to see children being loved, welcomed, and reminded that they matter deeply to God and to His Church. Ministry Spotlight:

There are moments in ministry that remind us why presence matters. Not perfect circumstances, nor polished programs, but faithful people showing up with the love and hope of Christ.  That is what we are seeing in Ukraine.  At Girska Zupynka Camp in Transcarpathia, Western Ukraine, 39 children recently arrived with their widowed mothers or another caring adult. Each child carried a story shaped by loss, fear, and war.  Among them were two siblings: Roksolana*, 16, and her little brother Maksym*, 6 (see photo right.)
