Across India, God is opening doors for children to encounter His Word and grow as disciples of Jesus. Through Every Generation Ministries (EGM), known locally as Jeevan Disha, churches are being equipped to disciple children in ways that lead to lasting transformation.
From children’s Bible programs to leadership training and new church partnerships, the EGM-India team continues to see encouraging evidence of God’s work, even amid significant challenges.
Ministry Highlights
Reaching Children with God’s Word
EGM India reached 840 children through Vacation Bible School (VBS) programs nationwide. Additional children’s camps and retreats have created opportunities for children to engage with biblical truth and consider how it applies to their everyday lives.
Equipping Children’s Ministry Leaders
Hundreds of Sunday school teachers and ministry leaders have participated in training programs across the country. Through these trainings, leaders are learning how to teach God’s Word creatively, build meaningful relationships, and help children respond to biblical truth.
Growing Church Partnerships
New relationships with churches and denominations are creating opportunities for EGM India to expand its reach. Church leaders across several states have expressed interest in bringing training and ministry resources to their congregations, helping more teachers become equipped for children’s discipleship.
Seeing Lives Transformed
Beyond the numbers, the team is hearing encouraging testimonies from teachers and families. Children are becoming more engaged in Sunday school, growing in their relationships, and making choices that reflect what they are learning from God’s Word.
A Friendship That Changed a Life: Krish’s Story
When Krish first began attending children’s ministry at a church in Pune, India, his mother was worried about him. He was often stubborn and disobedient, and she wondered what his future would look like.
But Krish had a friend in Shilpa, a children’s ministry leader who lived nearby. After attending training through EGM, Shilpa began using what she had learned to help children experience God’s Word, build meaningful relationships, and apply biblical truth to their everyday lives.
As Krish continued attending, something began to change. He grew closer to Shilpa and began making different choices. One day, he told Shilpa that because she had shown him such kindness and friendship, he wanted to build that same kind of relationship with his mother.
Today, Krish is an active young leader in his church’s children’s ministry. He willingly takes on responsibilities, serves others, and helps his parents at home.
His story reminds us that when churches are equipped to disciple children through God’s Word and authentic relationships, lives can be transformed.
Hear From Our National Director
Behind every training, church partnership, and children’s program is a team committed to seeing the next generation follow Jesus.
In the video below, Nitin, EGM-India’s National Director, shares his heart for the children of India, the vision guiding the national ministry team, and how God is working through the local Church to raise up young disciples.
Three Ways to Pray for India
As we celebrate what God is doing, we also recognize the challenges facing our brothers and sisters in India. Would you join us in praying?
- Protection Amid Persecution: Pray for the safety of EGM-India’s staff, volunteers, pastors, and partner churches as religious opposition and restrictions continue to create challenges for ministry.
- New Opportunities for Ministry: Ask God to open doors for additional church partnerships and training programs, particularly as the ministry establishes a stronger presence in Mumbai and other new regions.
- More Workers and Financial Provision: Lift up the team’s need for committed volunteers, local leaders, and financial partners who will help sustain and expand children’s discipleship throughout India.
Growing Together in Christ
Every trained leader, every church partnership, and every child reached is an opportunity for a life to be transformed through Jesus Christ.
We thank God for the faithful ministry of the EGM-India team and for the churches serving children in their communities. Thank you for standing alongside them through your prayers and support as we work together to see children transformed in Christ through His Church.
