When a Church is Transformed

Cami and I served with the Bunavestire Church in Bucharest for 16 years. We began with a new church plant of 30 people and started developing the children’s ministry very soon after. Eleven years ago, we started to implement EGM’s Biblical transformation model based on Deuteronomy 6.

Our family was recently called to relocate to the states, and we had the opportunity to reflect on God’s work through Bunavestire.

The church now has over 700 people in attendance, including about 150 children and over 30 children’s ministry leaders.

Even more significant than the numerical growth over the years has been the spiritual growth of children who were discipled using EGM’s transformation model. These teenagers are experiencing a meaningful relationship with Jesus and now serve in the church, including the children’s ministry, VBS and camp programs. They are putting into practice what they have learned about responding to God’s Word in real life and serving others.

It has been such a joy to see what transformation really looks like in terms of children’s ministry. We are so thankful to God for giving us that perspective.
