A small, anxious boy from Hungary began attending church with his Grandmother. He didn't know how to pray and was too embarrassed to try.
The other kids showed kindness, and his leader encouraged him by modeling simple prayers he could repeat. After a couple of weeks, the boy began to pray to God out loud, and lead the class on his own.
His grandmother came into his class one day. She told his leader that his parents had lost custody of him, and it had been a tough couple of months. But recently, he began calling his mother on the phone and asking if he could teach her how to pray.
“Transforming Children in Christ through His Church”
Jesus makes it clear in His Great Commission of Matthew 28:16-20 that helping children experience His life-transforming gospel is the solution to their spiritual poverty. Further, in the same Great Commission, He makes it clear that transformation in Christ Jesus is the job of the Church. The mission and vision statements of Every Generation Ministries reflect this dual message.
